NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TI Partners announced the addition of Derick Schaudies to its team today.
Derick Schaudies has founded private equity groups, investment banks and broker-dealers, and his strategic guidance and experience will prove invaluable to TI Partners and its clients. After closing five transactions this year with the firm he co-founded, Mr. Schaudies officially joined TI Partners in September.
Notable transactions and commentary:
Derick Schaudies advised GI Partners in their acquisition of Single Digits in January. Also in that month, he advised ISM Connect in their carve-out of a Smart Retail asset to SMSI. Kent Heyman, CEO of ISM Connect, said of Derick's work: "He did a phenomenal job, and I don't say that lightly… he personally supported finance and legal as needed. He was instrumental in getting the deal done, from his strategic advice and direction to his personal involvement in the details of the deal. He was always accessible and available for the "hand holding" that we CEOs want during a process."
In May of 2019, Mr. Schaudies closed two more transactions. He represented DeepBlue Communications in their sale to Comcast, and Brian Epstein, CEO of DeepBlue, commented, "Derick was instrumental in maneuvering both the strategic and financial aspects of our transaction, and we're pleased to have had him on our team." The second transaction of May was Allin Corporation sale to BBH. Rich Talarico, CEO of Allin, stated, "Derick was thoughtful, flexible and professional through the entire process. As we entered negotiations to complete a transaction, Derick very effectively served as our advisor in developing the business terms that ultimately led to a successful conclusion."
Over the summer, in the last transaction with his prior firm, he advised D3 Digital Banking in their sale to NCR. Mark Vipond, CEO of D3, added, "Derick's advice and counsel helped guide us through the naturally bumpy course of our transaction."
Finally, Derick Schaudies was recognized as an "Emerging Leader" by The M&A Advisor this year, and his transaction with Blueprint RF's sale to Cox was awarded Information Technology Deal of the year in 2018.
